Toyya is an Industrial Engineering PhD student with a specialization in Statistics. She received her BS in Management Science from MIT and a MS in Operations Research from Northeastern University. Professionally, she worked for the US Air Force as an Operations Research Analyst for 7 years. During her time at the AF, she estimated the cost of acquisition for weapon systems.
Toyya is currently working on a research project on the management of women before, during and after pregnancy. The objective of the research is to inform healthcare delivery on how the care of healthcare and the clinical risk condition of the mothers during pregnancy impact the health outcomes and the condition of their children, with implication in medical decision making.
